Well hello and welcome to my humble, online abode. If you’re reading this you probably want to know a little more about me and that is what I intend to provide you.
A Little History
I got into this thing called affiliate marketing back in 2009 after spending a year or two purchasing expensive real estate investing courses, but failing to purchase any property. Looking back I was probably too scared to actually take action and buried that fear with the self-delusion that I was taking action by educating myself. It probably didn’t help that the real estate gurus were masters of making me think that their course was an absolute must with their scarcity-laden, professionally copy written sales pages.
To make a long story short I ended up receiving an email from one of those real estate gurus promoting an internet marketing product and that got me onto the internet marketing/affiliate marketing path that I am on today.
History Repeats Itself
I wish I could say I learned from my expensive real estate course buying binge, but I’m a little on the dense side and it takes being whacked upside the head with a 2″ x 4″ a few times for me to finally learn. As you may have guessed, I promptly made the same mistake and ended up buying a bunch of internet marketing and affiliate marketing related courses without really applying what I was learned. I’m kind of ashamed to admit that I didn’t even go through some of them.
Slowly but surely I have been getting my act together over the years gradually taking bigger and more consistent action. I’ve made a little money over the years, not enough that would impress anyone, but I’m still working towards my goal of being able to do this full time.
What Drives Me
I would really love to be able to work from home on my computer and not have to worry about fighting traffic in my car for 2-3 hours a day. However, even more than that, I want to make myself successful so I can be a positive example to others that want to accomplish the same thing.
I know people who can use some more cash and I would love to tell them about affiliate marketing and internet marketing, but a) I would feel like a fraud and b) they would most likely say something to the effect of “If it works why aren’t you making boat loads of cash.” I want to be successful, so other people will have a real life, verifiable success story to latch on to and not just the opinion of some random guy on the internet.
What I Want To Accomplish With This Site
I started this site to help people avoid a few of the pitfalls I’ve run into in my internet marketing career. I want to help stop people from falling into the trap of just buying a bunch of courses without really implementing what’s in them. I want to guide people towards high quality training programs that care about helping you succeed and aren’t just trying to squeeze as much money out of your wallet as they can.
