Kyle, one of the co-founders, just announced the relaunching the Wealthy Affiliate Super Conference in Las Vegas today in the WA Affiliate Program classroom. You can read the announcement here.
In years past WA had an incentive for their affiliates: make 300 or more sales in one calendar year and get a free trip to Las Vegas to hang out with Kyle, Carson, and other WA super affiliates.
300 sales does sound like a lot of sales, but there have been people who were brand new to Wealthy Affiliate and just went all out in their efforts and were able to make it to Las Vegas.
In the past the WA affiliate program used to be closed and only open to active, paying members of WA. They have changed that and now anybody can promote Wealthy Affiliate.
All you have to do is sign up for a free starter membership which just requires you to sign in with a Facebook account, so they know you are a real person and not a bot.
Why Do Some People Make It and Others Don’t?
It always makes me contemplate the difference between the people who make it and the people who don’t make it(like myself). I think what a lot of it comes down to is doing the work, at least for me personally.
It’s easy for me to become distracted or make up excuses not to do the required work in order to make money with internet marketing. Just the fundamentals like writing blog posts, creating training, writing articles, and linking those articles back to my site on a regular basis would do wonders.
In the past it’s been extremely easy for me to become distracted with latest and greatest internet marketing craze, the next shiny object, if you will. Then the time that I could have spent building upon my already existing websites is spent going through the new course. When I got to the end of the course, there would always be a new course that I would buy, so I was in a constant state of learning and not “doing”.
Then there are other people who do try, and try really hard but don’t see the results and eventually give up. These people are one step ahead of the other people because they are actually doing the work. However, once you start doing the work it does not necessarily mean that it’s going to be an easy road.
Things are never going to go exactly as you planned and sometimes it may feel like for every step you take forward you take three steps back. You just got to persist.
Finally, I think the people who do take it are the ones who take the action and keep on taking consistent action until they reach their goals. They are able to roll with the punches and not let temporary setbacks get them down. They are able to celebrate the small wins at every point, whether it’s getting one visitor to their website or publishing one new article/blog post. In the end it’s this positive mind set combined with consistent action that produces the results.
I think those fundamentals apply to success in all areas of life and not just making money. We tend to forget as we grow older that we learn best by taking action and making mistakes. It’s just a matter of relearning of how to have fun while we learn a new skill.
Well that’s all for now, have a great day!
